The UTHSC Nashville General Surgery Residency Program uses an electronic application process through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).
The following documents must be submitted:

Medical school transcript

Applicants with previous residency experience must submit letters from their previous program director
Completed applications will be reviewed after the Dean's letter is released, and interviews will be granted on a rolling basis. Those candidates invited for interviews will be notified by email.
Interview Information - 2025
We will receive & review applications in early October, and will send out interview invites beginning in late October. Invites will go out on a rolling basis and interviews will be conducted virtually. Applicants will interview with the General Surgery Program Director and the Associate Program Director, as well as additional one-on-one interviews with faculty members and residents.
